Sepsis & Bloodstream
Infections

Rapid pathogen identification and resistance profiling from blood — with or without culture.

The Challenge

Blood cultures are slow. Sepsis is not.

Every hour of delayed pathogen identification in sepsis worsens outcomes. Blood culture remains the standard, but results take 24–72 hours — and culture-negative cases leave clinicians guessing. Direct detection from whole blood is technically demanding: bacteria are present at ultra-low CFU levels, and overwhelming host DNA masks microbial signal. A faster, more sensitive approach is needed at both ends of the workflow.

Our Approach

Faster answers — cultured or culture-free.

Low CFU Extraction from Whole Blood

abGenix X is engineered to capture bacteria at ultra-low CFU concentrations directly from whole blood, while efficiently depleting host DNA — unlocking culture-free pathogen detection for the first time in a compact, automated format.

Culture-Accelerated Identification

For labs that run blood cultures, abGenix extraction kits paired with abONE deliver rapid qPCR identification from positive blood culture bottles — cutting time-to-result compared to conventional microbiology.

Sepsis & AMR qPCR Panels — Coming Soon

AITbiotech is launching dedicated Sepsis and Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) qPCR panels for abONE. Designed to run on both cultured blood and direct whole blood samples, these panels will deliver actionable pathogen and resistance data in hours, not days.
