AITbiotech and N Health Partner to Advance Clinical Validation of Molecular Diagnostics in Southeast Asia

Singapore and Thailand collaboration will support locally generated clinical evidence for molecular diagnostics, with initial areas of collaboration spanning infectious disease and oncology.

SINGAPORE and BANGKOK. AITbiotech Pte Ltd, a Singapore-based molecular diagnostics company, and N Health Group, led by National Healthcare Systems Co., Ltd., the diagnostics and laboratory-services arm of Bangkok Dusit Medical Services (BDMS), today announced a collaboration to advance the clinical evaluation and validation of molecular diagnostic technologies through project-specific studies and locally generated clinical evidence.

The agreement was formally signed by Dr. Matinee Maipang, Chief Executive Officer G1, Bangkok Dusit Medical Services Public Company Limited (BDMS) and Authorized Director of N Health, together with Mr. Narongrid Galaputh, Chief Executive Officer, Hospital Support Business G7.1 of Bangkok Dusit Medical Services Public Company Limited (BDMS) and Authorized Director of N Health. Representing N Health at the signing ceremony, Mr. Narongrid Galaputh joined Mr. Alex Thian, Managing Director of AITbiotech Pte Ltd, to formally mark the partnership.

Under the agreement, the two companies will collaborate on project-specific diagnostic evaluation and clinical validation studies that pair AITbiotech's molecular diagnostic technologies with N Health's clinical laboratory network and validation capabilities in Thailand. Initial areas of collaboration being explored include molecular diagnostics across infectious disease and oncology. The collaboration is designed to generate clinical evidence that may support research, clinical evaluation and, where applicable, future regulatory submissions in relevant markets, while supporting the translation of diagnostic innovation toward potential real-world healthcare applications.

The collaboration brings together complementary strengths. AITbiotech contributes end-to-end molecular diagnostic development, from sample preparation and detection to bioinformatic analysis and regulatory expertise. N Health contributes its accredited laboratory capabilities, diagnostic expertise, clinical network and clinical validation expertise to support the systematic evaluation of new tests and emerging diagnostic technologies. Together, the partners aim to create a structured pathway for evaluating emerging molecular diagnostic technologies through robust clinical evidence.

Clinical validation performed within the region can play an important role in supporting the evaluation of diagnostic technologies in Southeast Asia, where locally generated evidence can contribute to clinical evaluation regulatory considerations, as appropriate, and clinician confidence. By generating clinical evidence relevant to regional healthcare settings, the partnership aims to strengthen the evidence base for the evaluation and potential future application of molecular diagnostics across relevant markets in this region.
